How do I crop an image to a specific aspect ratio?
Select a preset aspect ratio (1:1, 16:9, 4:3, 9:16, etc.) from the ratio menu, then drag the crop handles to position the crop area. The crop box will automatically maintain your chosen ratio. You can also enter custom pixel dimensions for precise control.
Can I crop images for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter?
Yes! We include preset aspect ratios for all major social platforms. Instagram square (1:1), Instagram portrait (4:5), Instagram story (9:16), Facebook cover (205:78), Twitter post (16:9), and more. Just pick the preset and position your crop.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Cropping simply selects a portion of your original image — it does not resize or recompress the pixels within the crop area. The cropped section retains the full resolution and quality of the original. However, if the cropped area is very small and you later enlarge it, some pixelation may occur.
Can I crop multiple images with the same dimensions?
Yes. Set your desired crop dimensions on the first image, then apply the same crop to all subsequent images in your batch. This is perfect for creating consistent thumbnails, product photos, or social media content sets.
What image formats can I crop?
